Pure L-Histidine by Montiff is an essential amino acid, which converts to histamine, a powerful blood vessel dilator, involved in gastric acid secretions and neurotransmission in the central nervous systems. L-Histidine is thought to play important roles in proper joint, neurological and cardiovascular support. It is significant in the growth and repair of tissues, the maintenance of myelin sheaths that protect nerve cells, and is also needed for the production of both red and white blood cells
