A-Potene™ 25 , Softgel Capsules from Douglas Laboratories is a dietary supplement providing a rich source of Vitamin A.
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin with antioxidant qualities. Antioxidants are dietary substances, including beta carotene, that can prevent damage to the body’s cells or repair damage that has occurred. A-Potene™ is 100% derived from beta-carotene, which has the highest Vitamin A activity.
One of Vitamin A's principal functions is in the visual cycle. Beta-carotene is converted to retinol, which is necessary for vision, and is subsequently altered to retinoic acid, which is used for processes involving growth and cell differentiation.
