Gluten Intolerant

"Gluten Free" has become a regular phrase in our vocabulary in the last decade and for good reason. Some research suggests 20 million people could be affected by consuming gluten. There is a difference between gluten sensitivity (you get side effects and symptoms when you consume gluten products) versus celiac disease (gluten intolerance/ allergy and causes physical damage to one's intestinal tract), although there are many similarlities in any range within gluten sensitivity to intolerance. Because gluten intolerance is characterized by your body’s inability to absorb nutrients, you may have to be more careful about the foods and nutrients you are putting in your body. There are a number of substitutes that you can make in your daily diet to support gut health and that do not contain gluten.
